Learning to Crochet and a couple of library bags

I decided to learn how to Crochet, its harder then i thought but i think I'm getting it, I'm using the Reader's Digest Complete Guide to Needlecraft, as well as online "how-to's". I was hoping to be able to make a cardigan for myself for this winter, but I've decided that that was way too adventurous for me, so instead I'm aiming to make a pair of booties for Jocie.
I was a little slow off the mark this year, when i decided to make Charlotte and Imogene's library bags, they only took an hour or so to whip up, then another half hour or so each to embroider.
Both together, and as usual, the same but different. The girls are close in age, so often want/need the same thing, but always in different colours.
A close up of Charlotte's, i hadn't got around to washing or ironing yet, but then i often don't do either until it actually needs to be washed.

This weekend was pretty much a blow out, so for a change I'm glad tomorrow is Monday!!

Awww a cute little Bilby

For Laura's wall
I really love to do hand stitching at night, while watching T.V, and during the day if i can manage it. I find cross stitching in particular to be a great stress reliever for me!

Laura decided that this one is her "mummy make", even though she had no idea what it was! All the girls where keen to know abit about them, so we had a chat, which resulted in me agreeing to ask the Easter Bunny to bring them a Chocolate Bilby for easter instead of eggs!!

Jocie's Quilt

I made this quilt last October for my littlest girl Jocelyn , while i was pregnant. It was really easy and fun to put together, very satisfying to actually finish so fast (6 days all up). I love the Owl fabric, though i think i jinxed myself, Jocie really is living up to the name of this quilt, Jocie's Night Owls!

This was my 2nd completed quilt, I took the easy way and did a small stipple all over.

I pieced the binding and the back, to stretch the fabric out as far as i could!
It is a bit smaller then cot size.

In all its glory lol!

And in action, Jocie at 1 week (awwww).
